Hello and Welcome to the Textile Trunk A magnificent find SOFT and gorgeous LOVELY dyed indigo blue dyed! This textile dates from the late 1800’s This textile has so much character and charm I LOVE the blue tones! It is pieced, so you can see the back panel uses a different fabric, it’s just magnificent!! This textile has the most wonderful soft hand, and bouncy springy linen The neck has a rusted metal button this textile is IDEAL for an artist, the 19th century French artists used to use these in every day life, as seen in many paintings from 19th century France This textile has many signs of time and use, character and charm in such a gorgeous way. The front has a patch of tiny hand mends, the back is pieced, there are age marks that I’m 100% sure will not wash at the back (please see photographs) and the neck collar area has small holes on the edge. There is a hole on the side (please see photographs) This piece has been used and loved and is ready for a new owner to use and love it again! Nothing about this piece is perfect, other than the piece itself! Perfect for someone looking for authentic wear and beautiful timeworn look MEASUREMENTS : This lovely textile measures approximately : Chest is 60 inches around Waist is about 60 inches around Sleeves are about 23 inches long Shoulders are about 23 inches side to side laid flat And the length is about 33 inches long CONDITION: This textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition.
